Our History...
The Puyallup Fair School opened in May of 1988. The program was developed by a group of area teachers for grades kindergarten through third to visit the Fairgrounds in the spring to learn about animals and agriculture. Now, pre-kindergarten and fourth grade classes are also invited to participate.

As fewer families live on farms, children need opportunities to learn where their food and fiber originates. These learning activities enhance classroom curriculum in science, math, social studies, and reading. The barn visit offers observation and hands-on experience with farm mammals and farm birds. A secondary emphasis focuses on the role of the Fair in the agricultural industry.
